For men who want to live healthier, for now better develop the artistic side that is inside on you. Researchers from Norway mentioned that the man who spirited artistic like a painter or a musician, have better mental health.
Researchers conducted interviews, clinical examination, blood samples, urine and brain scans on about 48 289 male participants of various backgrounds and professions. As a result, mental health-spirited man who have good artistic is healthier than men who have a lot of money or a great job.
Various factors such as socioeconomic status, chronic disease, smoking and alcohol consumption have already been considered in this study. According to this research, men who had artistic sense reported fewer and rarely depressed.
“There is a positive relationship between participants who liked the smell of art or cultural activities and artistic to the level of health, especially for problems of depression.” said Professor Jostein Holmen from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology’s (NTNU), Nord-Trondelag Health Study.
This study also shows that whatever a person’s social economic status, whether the truck driver or a bank director, had a body more healthy and live a happier when it has the other side of the artistic in itself.
“This study challenges everyone to be able to use the right brain as often as possible because it turns out it can improve health. Most people during this left-brain thinking and logic. That is why many people are depressed at this time,” said Prof Holmen.
However, researchers are not entirely sure whether this research applies to women. What is certain to increase the frequency of use of the right brain can reduce the risk of mental illness.
